Privacy policy
Effective 1 NOV 2026. This policy covers the Muster Out app for iPhone and iPad and this website, musterout.app. In this policy, "we" means FOIA Warfare LLC, which publishes Muster Out.
The short version. The app has no account and sends us nothing. Your plan stays on your device. This website collects only what you give it: an email for the waitlist, or a message you send us. It uses no cookies and no analytics. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

The app
The app sends us nothing. There is no Muster Out account and no sign-in. The app does not ask for your name, SSN, DoD ID, unit, location or any health information, and it stores no personal health information.
The app has no advertising, no analytics or crash reporting service, and no tracking. It sends no usage counts.
On your device
Your setup answers, dates, step status, leave balance, leave blocks and saved date changes are stored on your device. The app asks iOS for complete file protection, so this data is encrypted while your device is locked.
Medical and VA reference items come bundled with the app as general information and hold no personal records.
Your device backup settings also apply. iCloud Backup or a computer backup can include the app's data under your Apple Account settings. Without a backup, your plan may not be recoverable if you lose the device.
Subscriptions and purchases
Apple handles payment. We never see your card or payment details.
When you subscribe, the app creates a random purchase token and sends it to Apple with the purchase. The token is not tied to your name. The app checks your subscription status with Apple on your device and sends no purchase records to us. Apple's privacy policy covers what Apple collects.
Things you choose to share
These leave the app only when you act, and go where you send them.
- Continue in Claude or ChatGPT. The app shows the exact text it will copy, which is a step's title and status. You paste it into that app and send it yourself. Muster Out sends nothing to Anthropic or OpenAI and does not read their answer. Their privacy terms apply to what you send them.
- Clipboard. Text copied for that handoff stays on this device's clipboard and expires after 2 minutes.
- PDF. You preview the PDF before you share it. It includes step status, eligible step dates with their basis, your leave balance and leave dates. It never includes medical or VA claim selections or free text.
- Calendar. You add one step at a time through the iOS Calendar screen and save it yourself. The app does not read your calendar. Medical and VA reference items cannot be exported.
- Reminders. Reminders are scheduled on your device after you allow notifications. Their text is generic by default, so step details stay off your Lock Screen.

The waitlist
When you join the waitlist we store your email address, which form you used, when you signed up and when you confirmed. If you answer the two optional questions on the confirmation page, we store those answers too. We use this only to send the confirmation email, the launch email and no more than one update a month before launch.
We send nothing else until you open the confirmation link and choose Confirm my email. An address that is never confirmed is deleted within 7 days and 1 hour of first signup; resending does not extend that time. We delete the whole list within 90 days after the first launch email goes out. You can leave sooner with the unsubscribe link or by asking us. We keep only a keyed hash of an opted-out address to prevent more waitlist emails. A message already being delivered may still arrive.
No analytics
This site uses no analytics, no cookies and no tracking scripts, and it loads nothing from other companies.
Server logs and abuse protection
Cloudflare hosts this site and handles every request, which includes your IP address, to deliver pages and block attacks. To stop form abuse, our server keeps a one-way scrambled form of your IP address in a counter that is deleted within 25 hours. We do not store IP addresses.
Messages to us
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive what you send, including your email address. The app's email support option opens a mail form with a diagnostic you can read before you send it. It holds app and device details and no plan content.
We use messages only to answer you and fix the app. You can ask us to delete your messages. Mailbox and delivery records are also subject to the providers' retention policies.
Other companies
| Company | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Apple | App Store purchases and subscriptions, under Apple's privacy policy. |
| Cloudflare | Hosts this website and the waitlist database, and routes email sent to our address. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. |
| Resend | Sends the waitlist emails and delivers contact form messages to us. See Resend's privacy policy. |
| Stores the inbox that receives our email and contact form messages, under Google's privacy policy. | |
| Anthropic and OpenAI | Only what you paste into their apps yourself, under their terms. |
Email is not guaranteed to be encrypted on every delivery connection, and these companies process data to run and protect their services as their policies describe. We share data with no one else, and we do not sell it.
Deleting your data
- On your device: in the app, tap Settings, then Delete local plan. Deleting the app also removes the local copy. An earlier device backup can still hold one.
- Reminders and Calendar: turn off notifications in iOS Settings, and delete exported events in Calendar.
- The waitlist: use the unsubscribe link in any waitlist email from us, or ask us. We delete your address and optional answers from our list and keep a keyed hash to honor the opt-out. This does not delete provider delivery records.
- Messages you sent us: ask us to delete them.
Send requests through the contact form or to feedback@warfarecommand.com. If your subscription ends, your plan stays readable and these controls stay available.
Adults only
Muster Out is for adults in or leaving military service. If a child sent us an email or joined the waitlist, a parent or guardian can ask us to delete it.
Changes
We post changes on this page with a new date. Before the app sends any new kind of data, it will ask you first, and this page will name the company that receives it.
Send questions about this policy to feedback@warfarecommand.com.
